Download station keeps telling me duplicate torrent file
Post by livings » Sat Jun 21, am So you're saying Transmission has exactly 0 transfers, you add a torrent file, and it says it's a duplicate? Or it has 0, you add one, and then add a second one and it says it's a duplicate? Post by robinalaska » Sat Jun 21, am I have one transfer - the one that I have already successfully downloaded.
When I try to add another one, a different one, it says it is a duplicate. This is the case no matter what the new torrent is or where it came from I have tried torrents of two other materials, from several different locations. No transfers other than the one I already have will show in Transmission.
I'm going to try deleting that one since it's completed anyway , rebooting, and having another go. EDIT: Huzzah! Now, does anyone know what went on in the first place? Post by Waldorf » Sat Jun 21, pm It doesn't matter if a torrent is completed or paused, as long as it is in Transmission it will be checked for duplicates when adding a new torrent. So the reboot did nothing to aid your 'problem'. Could you try adding the first torrent again? Post by robinalaska » Sun Jun 22, pm I would argue that it did aid my problem, as after I rebooted and did nothing else the problem was solved.
The other two torrents have completed and I've kept them in attempt to allow seeding does this happen automatically or must I specifically tell a torrent to seed? If I try a duplicate of the files I have, I get the duplicate warning.
How to tell Microsoft Edge to let you download a file it's blocking You can override SmartScreen and its protections. Matt Elliott. Disable SmartScreen in Edge You can disable SmartScreen in the Windows Defender Security Center app in total or just for Edge, but for the latter it's faster to do so right within Edge itself, particularly if you are already using Edge. Windows Defender setting In Windows Defender, you can also change Edge's SmartScreen to merely warn you when you are about to download a file it deems suspicious instead of it outright blocking it.

Thanks for any help you can give me would like to be playing asap. What's your ISP? ISPs don't like you torrenting typically so some restrict bandwidth when they see transfer rates that hint at it. To help narrow things down, I'll undo the setting change and see if the.! I don't think so. I've been downloading the same way and from the same sites for a long time.
This issue with.! The files in question were definitely complete though. I have uTorrent set to download to a temp directory and move completed downloads to another folder - and they were in the completed folder. I could also play the video file through Plex streaming to my TV. What are the paths of your temp and complete? Paths are all on the same drive screenshot attached.
