That is the question. We recently brought in an amazing cohort of clients inside of the incubator. People have this elusive idea that they want to earn a passive income.
In other words, they want to earn money in their sleep. The way passive income is framed in the online industry is toxic, and can cause you to miss out on so many great opportunities. Do you guys remember that show called Celebrity Deathmatch? We are furious on behalf of our clients because of how they have been manipulated into wasting so much of their time and money. Marketing is in our blood, so we get the desire to do this, but marketing is not the key to success.
Hear us out. You can now support the show with a one-time donation! Canva is hands-down the most popular graphic design tool we see used almost every single day by creative business owners. Here at Boss Project, we definitely fit in with that crowd! Although we have professional designers on our team that are trained in those robust softwares, nothing beats using Canva to whip up jaw-dropping graphics for all purposes.
In fact, there are 5 main reasons why we use Canva and why you should, too! About half of the service providers you talk to will be Team Dubsado, while the other half are Team HoneyBook.
No matter which team you choose, though, having a CRM is a massively important piece of running a service-based business. You need some type of system to help you streamline your processes, leads, client communication, and more, and either of these platforms will help you do so.
So, which team are we? For us and many others we know, these are the two main deal breakers when it comes to choosing any sort of software, not just CRMs. Keep reading if you want to find out who comes out on top! When you think of how you can free up time and make more in your service-based business, what comes to mind first?
Your most likely goes to what all the online business marketers are preaching:. Hence, Canva recommends using pictures that you directly captured with a camera or those from legit photographers.
Lastly, the photo dimensions. Hence, the term DPI. If your photos are sourced from the internet, then expect that the printout will be blurry. After all, web-based images only have 72 DPI as mentioned earlier. So, before you use the picture, check its resolution first.
For them, the easiest fix is to stretch the photo or downsize it to create better prints. Dots per inch, or DPI, measures the resolution of both scanned and printed documents. Simply put, it refers to the number of dots that you can place in a line in a 1-inch square. And, with higher dot density, the greater resolution the photo has.
Hence, the better quality of the image in question. Please take a look at them here. Hey guys! My second tip for this, is to always download using PNG file type. Anything else, and social media platforms will do weird things to your image. Not always, but sometimes BOO. Sometimes the platform needs to run routine updates, like any other platform.
Unfortunately, this can affect your experience, downloading images, creating ads, etc. You can either choose to take a mental break from designing images, or you can find another platform that will do the same job, if not better.
I love to recommend Canva, but I also understand that it might not be the best solution for everyone! Did these solutions help you fix your blurry Canva image woes?
